Formulated with two fast-acting antacids, calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, these tablets work by neutralising excess stomach acid on contact, providing rapid soothing action. The peppermint flavour offers a refreshing taste, and the chewable format makes them convenient to take without water—perfect for use at home or on the go. Suitable for adults and children over 12, Rennie helps restore comfort quickly after meals, during pregnancy, or in moments of digestive discomfort.
Adults and children over 12 years should chew or suck two tablets as required, preferably one hour after meals and before bedtime. Do not exceed 11 tablets in 24 hours. The tablets should be chewed or sucked—do not swallow whole. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional.
Each tablet contains the active ingredients calcium carbonate (680mg) and heavy magnesium carbonate (80mg). Other ingredients include sucrose, glucose, peppermint oil, talc, potato starch, magnesium stearate, and pregelatinised maize starch.
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Rennie tablets are not suitable for children under 12 years of age without medical advice. If you have kidney problems, high calcium levels, or are following a low-phosphate diet, consult your doctor before use. Prolonged or excessive use may lead to imbalances in calcium or magnesium. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications, seek guidance from a healthcare provider before use. Keep out of the sight and reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.
Rennie is generally well tolerated. However, in rare cases, it may cause side effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, or hypersensitivity reactions including skin rashes. Excessive or prolonged use may result in elevated calcium levels in the blood or alkalosis, especially in patients with renal impairment. If you experience any unusual symptoms or allergic reactions, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
